Luis Suarez was back at Barcelona on Saturday for the first time since leaving the Camp Nou last summer and heading to Atletico Madrid.
The Uruguayan enjoyed a tussle with Gerard Pique during the game and came in for a bit of stick from the defender, according to reports.
After going to ground in the penalty area in the first half Pique was heard shouting: “That’s enough, fatty. You can’t be serious. That’s enough!” The report adds that Suarez was affectionately called fatty during his time at Barcelona.
Goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen also joined in the debate. “Hey, Luis!” he called out as the striker looked appealingly at referee Mateu Lahoz. “Not like that!”
Lahoz didn’t award a penalty and the game finished 0-0 with Suarez unable to mark his Camp Nou return with a goal. Howeve, the result does leave Atletico in first place in the table and able to win the title if they win their last three games.
