Sergi Roberto has taken to social media to post a pretty emotional message after coming in for some savage criticism this season.

The 29-year-old has endured an injury-interrupted campaign but has returned in recent weeks, although he’s found it pretty tough going.

Roberto was even subbed off in Tuesday’s draw with Levante after only arriving at half-time and has admitted he’s having a tough time at present.

“When things go wrong it’s time to get up and do everything to can to change it. I’m going through difficult times, physically and mentally, but I’m convinced that good things will come, with work and positivity as I have always done because I want to go back to enjoy what I like more and especially be at 100% Thank you all for the message of encouragement!!”

Roberto looks unlikely to play again this season after Barca confirmed he’s suffered a thigh problem and is currently unavailable. His future at the Camp Nou is also a little uncertain with the midfielder out of contract in 2022 and yet to agree an extension.
