Oscar Mingueza will not face Celta Vigo on Sunday for Barcelona as he’s been recalled to Barca B for the team’s crucial promotion play-off clash against UCAM Murcia on Sunday in Extremadura.

It’s a huge game for Francisco Javier García Pimienta who will head to the finals of the playoffs with a win and be just one game away from promotion to the Spanish second division next season.

Mingueza’s absence does leave Ronald Koeman a little short of defensive options for Sunday’s match, although Ronald Araujo did take part in training on Friday morning despite being forced off with an ankle injury against Levante.

There have been whispers that Ilaix Moriba may also be called up but he looks to be staying with the first team for now and could start on Sunday against Celta with Barcelona without Frenkie de Jong due to suspension.
