Barcelona’s desire to pick up a key striker this offseason is well known. The attack for Barcelona has relied on production not coming from a traditional striker and it’s hurt the club in certain situations.
The man target that Barca have looked at is Erling Haaland. The Dortmund star is the darling of the transfer window but his price tag is going to make things difficult for Barca to make a move for him this summer.
Given the tough nature of that transfer, Barcelona has identified a backup plan. The Barca brass have started to look at Real Sociedad’s Isak as a striker alternative. The 21-years-old would cost a tiny portion of what it would take to bring in Haaland, and provide Barca with hopefully, a better attack up front.
