Barcelona will reportedly allow Pedri to head off on holiday ahead of schedule amid fears the midfielder’s suffering from burnout.

The 18-year-old has burst onto the scene in his first season at the Camp Nou after moving from Las Palmas and has become a regular under Ronald Koeman.

Indeed Pedri’s featured in every single one of Barcelona’s La Liga games in 2020-21 and, understandably, has looked pretty tired recently.

The teenager was hooked at half-time of Sunday’s defeat to Celta Vigo and may now miss Barca’s final game against Eibar in order to get some rest, according to Marca.

Barca are concerned he may be suffering from burnout and will allow him head off to Tenerife to enjoy a good break before linking up with Spain for the Euros.

Ronald Koeman’s team selection has been under scrutiny recently with the Dutchman reluctant to make changes and generally using the same starting XI game after game.

If the report proves correct and Pedri does miss out on Saturday it could offer another chance for Riqui Puig to impress in the first team.
