Barcelona goalkeeper Inaki Pena and defender Oscar Mingueza have been called into the Spain Under-21 squad for this summer’s European Championship but there’s no place for Riqui Puig.
Luis de la Fuente has named his squad and there’s lots of familiar faces with Juan Miranda, Jorge Cuenca, Marc Cucurella and Abel Ruiz also getting the nod.
Here’s the list in full:

Spain play Croatia in the quarter-finals of the tournament on May 31. The semi-finals are scheduled for June 3 with the final three days later.
Puig’s absence is a further blow for the midfielder who has only managed two La Liga starts this season. De la Fuente said earlier this season Puig is an “important player” for the team but it seems his lack of game time has cost him a spot in the squad.
