Koeman’s agent reveals details of talks with Laporta over Barcelona future

Ronald Koeman’s agent offered a brief glimpse into what might happen at Barcelona with the coach after Tuesday’s talks with president Joan Laporta

Rob Jansen offered the briefest of updates which suggests that Koeman may be about to stay on and see out his two-year deal at the Camp Nou.

“The feeling is positive. It’s even that good that Ronald might even stay longer (than 2021/22). But we are not this far yet, more conversations will follow.”

Speculation has claimed that Laporta is yet to make a decision on Koeman after Tuesday’s meeting and more discussions are planned.

It seems at the moment that the club is not ruling anything out, but they will surely be keen to make a final decision sooner rather than later.

Barca don’t seem completely convinced by Koeman after his first season in charge, but there seems to be no outstanding available candidate to take over which may mean he gets to stay on.
