Wasserman, the agency that represents Ronald Koeman, has apparently hit back at FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta’s lack of commitment over their client’s future.
“I have already told Koeman what I had to tell him very clearly,” Laporta said in a press conference. “We’re assessing the season. He has a contract in place [but] I don’t believe in transitional seasons. We will continue to speak to him and make further decisions next week.”
Rumors suggest Laporta is open to hiring a new manager to take over next season, but he has yet to decide on whom to hire, or even if he really would sack the current one.
Koeman’s agency has not taken the news lightly. On Twitter, they wrote: “Imagine: I want to marry you, but I have doubts. Give me two weeks to find a better partner… If I can’t find the right person, we will get married anyway!”

Give me two weeks to find a better partner…
If I can’t find the right person, we will get married anyway!
Koeman has been rumored to be emotionally hurt by the new president’s refusal to commit to him.
Laporta arrived last season after the resignation of Josep Maria Bartomeu. Crucially, Koeman was hired by Bartomeu, not Laporta.
The Dutchman oversaw a transitional season in which Barcelona improved dramatically from a terrible start and won the Copa del Rey, although they ended the season on a sour note, losing points frequently and dropping out of the league title race.
