Barcelona confirmed on Monday that Sergio Aguero will join the club on a free transfer from Premier League champions Manchester City on July 1.
The striker leaves Pep Guardiola’s side as the club’s all-time record goalscorer and with a host of trophies after winning five league titles, the FA Cup and six League Cups.
Aguero will now link up with good friend and Argentina international teammate Lionel Messi at the Camp Nou after signing a two-year contract.
Here are the details:
“FC Barcelona and Sergio ‘Kun’ Agüero have reached an agreement for the player to join the Club from 1 July when his contract with Manchester City expires.
“The player will sign a contract until the end of the 2022/23 season and his buy out clause is set at 100 million euros.”
