FC Barcelona are set to make an extra bit of cash from the Arturo Vidal transfer after Inter Milan captured the Serie A title.
The Chilean moved to the Italian club on a free transfer despite having one year left on his contract, as the Catalans wanted to move his high salary off the books.
However, Barcelona did set up certain bonus payments, one of which is one million euro should Inter win the Scudetto. With a win against Crotone and Atalanta drawing their match, Inter have mathematically sewn up the title. Therefore, the blaugrana expect a deposit into their coffers.
Since 2011, Vidal has won the league title nine out of ten times. He won four out of four with Juventus, then three out of three with Bayern Munich, and then one of two with Barcelona, and now one of one with Inter.
He has become an important piece for Antonio Conte, starting 23 matches in the league campaign, despite a knee injury keeping him out lately.
