Samuel Umtiti has been offered to Liverpool for the bargain price of £6 million, but it’s considered unlikely the Reds will pull the trigger on such a deal, according to a new report.

In fact, Umtiti has apparently been offered to some of Europe’s top clubs such as Manchester City, Manchester United, and Juventus, as well as French clubs like Lyon and Lille.

Umtiti has struggled with recurring injury that has made him unable to replicate the form that once made him a starter for Barcelona and the French national team.

The World Cup winner has also been linked with a move to Zenit FC, but has reportedly balked at the idea of moving outside Europe’s top five leagues.

It’s understood Liverpool are likely to decline the services of the Frenchman, as they are signing Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig for a fee worth £40 million.

Liverpool were in the market for a defender, but it’s likely that Umtiti’s torrid injury history and high wages are turning off many potential buyers.
