Barcelona Femeni crowned league champions

Barcelona Femeni were crowned league champions on Sunday after their nearest challengers Levante drew 1-1 with Espanyol.

The result means Lluis Cortes’s side can’t be caught at the top of the table and win the title with eight games still to play.

Barcelona Femeni have won all 26 league matches so far in 2020-21, scoring an incredible 128 goals along the way and conceding just five.

It’s a sixth league title for Barcelona which is also a new record and sees the Catalans overtake Athletic club as the team with the most league wins.

The team celebrated in some style.

Barca Femeni can still win the treble this season. The team is into the semi-finals of the Copa de la Reina and play Chelsea in the final of the Champions League next weekend.
