Inter Milan are said to be targeting FC Barcelona right-back Emerson Royal as a possible replacement for Achraf Hakimi. Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are said to be in a bidding war over the Moroccan, meaning Inter will be on the lookout for a new starting fullback.
Barcelona have just recently purchased Emerson from Real Betis. The two clubs had brought him from Brazil in a co-ownership deal. It’s reported that Barcelona would have to part with 50% of whatever fee they can get for selling Emerson as part of their agreement from Real Betis.
This would mean that, given the Catalans spent 9 million euros in getting him in the first place, Barcelona will only start earning from the sale after the initial 18 million is paid. From then, they would be profiting 50% from every euro over a sale of 18 million.
Emerson’s agent was said to have met Inter Milan representatives, although it’s also understood that Barcelona do not want to let him go.
Radio MARCA reports that while it is true that Emerson’s agent is listening to Inter, the most important thing is that Barcelona counts on him for next season and want to extend his contract.
