France coach Didier Deschamps has heaped huge praise on Barcelona forward Antoine Griezmann and thinks the 30-year-old is a true great of the game.
Deschamps discussed Griezmann at a news conference on Friday ahead of France’s second game of Euro 2020 against Hungary on Saturday.
“He is one of those players who is capable of changing games,” he said. “He is very creative, he has this ability to think outside the box, it is remarkable to watch.
“He beat a (starts) record. He is playing in consecutive games, wonderfully so for him. He may not be 20 anymore, but he takes very good care of himself.
“You can see the influence he has with the goals he scores and assists he makes. Then add to that the capacity he has to change the game, while getting back and doing his defensive duties. He is one of the greatest players of all time, both in Europe and worldwide.”

France had into the match after beating Germany 1-0 in their opening match of the tournament and will be big favorites to win again when they come up against a Hungary team beaten 3-0 in their first game against Portugal.
If Griezmann does, as expected, start the match it will be his 50th consecutive start for Les Bleus. Griezmann has 37 international goals in his 92 appearances.
