Barcelona are only two weeks away from starting pre-season. Just to emphasize that despite Euro 2020 and Copa America 2021 having just started, the domestic pre-season is set to begin on July 9. Time flies and as a result, some may have forgotten that Barcelona are still desperate to offload players.

The urgency has heightened since the key to everything, one Lionel Messi, has yet to put pen to paper. The reports coming out of Spain seem to signify that Barca have indeed asked him to take a pay cut. The asks of a salary decrease have also gone out to players of the likes of Sergi Roberto, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba.

Those salary decreases may help the club, but offloading players remains a key and urgent priority for the club. Sergi Roberto, Ousmane Dembele, Jean-Clair Todibo, Carles Alena, and Moussa Wague are all names that Barcelona are in talks to either sell, loan, or swap. The priority is keeping Lionel Messi, and selling whomever it takes to get that done.
