FC Barcelona will listen to offers from Inter Milan regarding one of their veterans - Jordi Alba, according to Catalan media. The left-back has been a starter at left-back at the Camp Nou since arriving from Valencia in 2012. He’s also a product of Barcelona’s academy.
The Catalans are facing an economic crisis and are looking to shed high salaries and find some money to make signings. And it’s understood they have informed Inter they will listen to their offers.
Reports have said Inter are willing to swap players with a few names thrown around: Milan Škriniar, Marcelo Brozović, Alessandro Bastoni, and Lautaro Martínez.
The latter has been rumored as a long-term potential target for Barcelona.
Alba’s replacement could be José Luis Gayà from Valencia. He’s been linked with following Alba’s path from Valencia to Barcelona before, and it’s understood he has many fans within the Catalan club,
Gayà and Alba are teammates for the Spain national team, where Alba is the starter. Notably, Gayà is six years younger than his compatriot.
