Sergio Busquets has been named man of the match once again, making it two out of the two games he has played in the European Championship.

The Spain captain missed the first two games due to a positive coronavirus test, but since recovering, he has helped la roja get back to winning ways.

Spain were without Busquets in their 0-0 draw with Sweden and their 1-1 draw with Poland. But he was back amongst the starters for Spain’s 5-0 demolition of Slovakia and their 5-3 round of 16 win over Croatia. The FC Barcelona legend was man of the match in both wins.

Today, Spain had to struggle through a comical own goal and letting a two goal lead slip in the dying minutes of regular time before they were able to decisively pull away in extra time.

The 32-year-old played 102 minutes and helped the Spanish side to 67% possession over the Croats.

They will now face the winner of the match between France and Switzerland.
