Barcelona’s summer is one of transition in some ways. The club is well aware of where it finished in the European pecking order last season, and changes needed to be made. The manager situation is “stable” and it looks like Lionel Messi is keen on staying too.
But the transition on the pitch remains vital. Part of that process is actually securing funds to make that happen. Since money remains a key issue, selling off existing players is sort of the only path forward.
According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, there are seven players who could be on their way out to make room in the budget. Junior Firpo, Matheus Fernandes, Samuel Umtiti, Riqui Puig, Francisco Trincão, Sergi Roberto, and Miralem Pjanić are all potentially on their way out. So have fun Barca fans, we may get a little show.
