Barcelona know a thing or two about being in complicated places with players. The situation they find themselves in with Ousmane Dembele is very similar to the position Milan find themselves in with Alessio Romagnoli.
The difference is that in this situation the Milan centre back has made it clear he doesn’t wish to renew when his deal expires next summer. That leaves Milan in a situation wherein they’re forced to sell a player everyone knows they could just wait and sign for free in a year.
Milan are reportedly interested in either Philippe Coutinho or Miralem Pjanic to come back in a deal, but the players' salaries remain a concern. The duo aren’t all that keen on lowering their salaries and would have to do so to facilitate a move to Milan. Leaving both clubs at a stalemate. This is a player to keep an eye on though, if Barca could get him they could solve a lot of their defensive issues.
