A potential transfer of Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid could start a chain reaction of big moves, culminating in Antoine Griezmann joining Juventus, according to a new report.
With Mbappé said to not be renewing with Paris Saint-Germain, the chances of him leaving this summer as opposed to next have risen. While PSG have publicly maintained that they will never sell Mbappé, rumors suggest that perhaps they will finally relent.
PSG would then turn to Cristiano Ronaldo as their new star signing to counteract the exit of the young French star. Ronaldo being linked with PSG is nothing new, but again, it remains to be seen whether it happens or not.
That would leave Juventus without a star, and Barcelona reportedly think they’d be willing to make an offer for Antoine Griezmann - on loan, perhaps.
Barcelona are desperate to lower their wage bill and Griezmann is one of the top earners at the club. In fact, he may be the top earner considering Lionel Messi is a free agent right now.
The Catalans would hope that Juventus would then make the switch permanent and give Barcelona a lot of money to use next summer.
At the moment, however, it is understood that the French forward would like to join Atlético Madrid if he can’t stay at Barcelona. A proposed swap involving Saúl Ñíguez going to Barcelona in exchange for Griezmann reportedly fell through recently.
