Miralem Pjanić’s proposed transfer back to Juventus is still on “stand-by” and will not be resolved unless the Italians first find a place for Aaron Ramsey, according to a new report.
FC Barcelona are keen on moving on the Bosnian, who has a large contract but does not fit into Ronald Koeman’s plans.
Pjanić is looking for a way to return to the club that made him a star, and is said to be willing to lower his salary to make it happen.
He came in an exchange that saw Arthur go the other way, in a bid for both clubs to balance the books.
Ramsey is one of Juventus’s top earners but the Turin-based club is looking to find a new club for him. He is said to earn seven million euro annually, fourth most among Juventus players, and that makes a transfer out more difficult.
Max Allegri is back in charge at the Juventus Stadium and he is said to be pushing for a reunion, even after signing Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo for €35m. However, if they are unable to find a buyer for Ramsey, Pjanić will be stuck at the Camp Nou.
