Barcelona new signing Sergio Aguero has been showing off his new squad number at the Camp Nou and has opted for the No. 19 shirt.
The striker wore the No. 10 at Manchester City, and had been a contender to take over Lionel Messi’s iconic shirt, but has gone for something different instead.
It’s still not clear who, if anyone, will take over the No. 10 for the 2021-22 campaign with conflicting rumors flying about right now.
Philippe Coutinho appears to be one possibility, while the club may also go without a No. 10 or hand it over to one of the club’s many promising youngsters.
The numbers of Barca’s other forwards appear to be secured already. Memphis Depay wore the No. 9 in the season opener, Martin Braithwaite had the No. 12, while Ansu Fati has switched to the No. 17.
