Memphis Depay admitted he had mixed feelings after scoring his first La Liga goal for Barcelona on Saturday against Athletic at San Mames.
The Dutchman opened his account with a brilliant effort to salvage a point for the visitors on a tough night for Ronald Koeman’s men.
Memphis admitted after the game he was happy to get off the mark for his new club but couldn’t celebrate properly due to the result.
“It feels wonderful to score a goal but I feel disappointed with the result. So, it has two sides, I can’t really enjoy it too much because we didn’t get the three points.
“It was a tough game but obviously to score my first onel for the club it feels good, it means a lot, and I want to bring more.”

The Dutchman now has a goal and an assist in his first two La Liga outings for Barcelona and is already looking like a handy piece of business by the club.
