Ilaix Moriba should have been part of the Barcelona squad who welcomed Ansu Fati back to training on Tuesday but had to make do with a message on social media instead.
The two youngsters are close friends but do not look like playing together next season with Moriba currently frozen out after failing to agree a new contract at the club.
The midfielder is currently training with Barca B but was still happy to see Fati back in training after almost 10 months out because of a knee injury.
Moriba wrote on Instagram stories, “Very happy to see you already in the field brother.”

It was certainly great to see Fati back in training, and the hope is he will be able to make his long-awaited Barcelona return after the upcoming international break.
Barcelona also shared some footage of Fati’s first workout back with his teammates.

Fati will sit out Sunday’s visit from Getafe but could be available for the trip to the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium to face Sevilla on September 12.
