Barcelona trio called up by Spain, Pedri rested

Luis Enrique has named his squad


Luis Enrique has called Barcelona trio Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Eric Garcia into his Spain squad but has allowed Pedri to continue his holiday.

The Spain boss has also included former Barca forward Abel Ruiz in his squad for September’s World Cup qualifiers against Sweden, Georgia and Kosovo.

Goalkeepers: Unai Simon, David De Gea, Robert Sanchez.

Defenders: Jordi Alba, Jose Luis Gaya, Cesar Azpilicueta, Marcos Llorente, Eric Garcia, Aymeric Laporte, Inigo Martinez, Raul Albiol

Midfielders: Sergio Busquets, Rodri, Koke, Mikel Merino, Carlos Soler, Brais Mendez.

Attackers: Pablo Fornals, Pablo Sarabia, Ferran Torres, Adama Traore, Alvaroa Morata, Gerard Moreno, Abel Ruiz.

Spain’s first fixture is in Sweden on September 2 before a home game in Badajoz three days later. The third match sees Lucho’s men head to Kosovo on September 8.

La Roja currently tops Group B with seven points from three games after wins over Kosovo and Georgia and a draw with Greece.
