FC Barcelona have dropped their first points at home in La Liga 2021/22, but with just a minute of regular time remaining they were heading for a 1-0 defeat. They had battled long and hard to get back into the game, but the efforts didn't pay off until the very nick of time, when Ronald Araujo powered in a header.

First starts for Demir and Balde - FC Barcelona
Monday was a special night for Yusuf Demir and Alejandro Balde. The Monday night game with Granada was, for both of them, their first official starts for FC Barcelona. They have both been appearing in matches this season, but only coming off the bench. Neither had been named in a starting line-up before.

On the day of his debut in the starting XI Alejandro Balde was substituted before half time due to a lower back problem with more tests pending to determine the extent of the problem.

Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman has called for a reality check over where the club is heading this season. The Dutchman oversaw a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Granada with the hosts saved by Ronald Araujo’s 90th minute header at the Camp Nou. However, with his side ending the game with an attacking partnership of Gerard Pique and Luuk De Jong, La Blaugrana came in for some criticism online.
