Ajax boss Erik ten Hag has played down rumors he could replace Ronald Koeman at Barcelona after being asked about speculation linking him with the Camp Nou again.

The 51-year-old made it pretty clear he’s not interested in the job and is completely focused on his current job with the Eredivisie champions.

“What do I have to do with all that? I am busy with Ajax,” he said. “These rumors… that’s fun for you, but not for me.”

Ten Hag signed a contract extension with Ajax back in April that is designed to keep him at the club until June 2023.

The Dutchman has always looked a good fit for Barcelona but doesn’t seem to be in the running currently because he’s happy in Amsterdam.

Roberto Martinez and Xavi are the two names that are being thrown about at the moment, although it’s not clear if either would be willing to move to Barcelona right now.
