Barcelona offered a peek into Ousmane Dembele’s recovery from injury on Friday with the Frenchman shown working hard in the gym.

Dembele’s on the recovery trail once again after picking up an injury while playing for France at Euro 2020 that required surgery in June.

Barca said at the time that Dembele would be out for around four months which means he’s due back towards the end of October.

Dembele’s no stranger to the treatment room but did manage to feature regularly last season after seeming to shrug off the injury problems that have blighted his time at the Camp Nou.

His latest injury was a real setback, and means he’s missed the start of the 2021-22 season, but the club will be hoping he can enjoy another injury-free spell once he finally returns to fitness.

The make-up of Ronald Koeman’s attack will make for interesting reading once everyone is fit and available. The Dutchman’s started the season with Memphis Depay, Antoine Griezmann, and Martin Braithwaite as his front three.

Yet Griezmann has now left, Luuk de Jong has arrived, Yusuf Demir has been registered with the first team and Dembele, Ansu Fati, and Sergio Aguero should all be available in the coming months.
