Barcelona have offered an update on Sergio Aguero’s progress as the Argentina international works his way back from a calf injury.

Aguero’s still waiting to make his debut for Barca after picking up the injury ahead of the new campaign. The club confirmed at the time they expected Aguero to miss 10 weeks which means he’s not expected back until the end of October.

The 33-year-old has been working out in the gym at the Ciutat Esportiva which Barca have shown on social media.

Injuries have left Ronald Koeman short of options in attack for the early weeks of the season but those problems are starting to ease. Ansu Fati is back in full training and close to making his first appearance since November 2020.

Barca have also shown Ousmane Dembele working out in the gym as he recovers from his latest surgery. Dembele was originally ruled out for four months but is also expected back some time in October.

The club will be hoping that Fati, Dembele, and Aguero can all go on and stay fit and healthy in 2021-22. All three players have had a tough time with injuries but are all potent attacking threats when fit and firing.
