Dutch striker Luuk de Jong arrived in Barcelona on Sunday following his deadline-day move on loan from Sevilla.

The 31-year-old will undergo medical tests on Monday morning at the Ciutat Esportiva and could then link up with his new teammates for the first time.

Barca will train late on Monday afternoon as they begin preparations for a possible game against Sevilla on Saturday at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

It’s still not clear if the game will go ahead. La Liga and Sevilla had asked for the game to be postponed but saw the request turned down by the RFEF.

De Jong could be needed against his former side with Barca short of attackers currently after waving goodbye to Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann.

Martin Braithwaite is also a doubt after picking up an injury last time out in the win over Getafe. He missed Denmark’s World Cup qualifiers against Scotland and the Faroe Islands.

Ronald Koeman is also still without Sergio Aguero, Ousmane Dembele, and Ansu Fati but should be able to call up Philippe Coutinho against Sevilla.
