Barcelona summer signing Noah Darvich opened his account for his new club on Wednesday in a Youth League tie against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Darvich, who arrived from Freiburg to link up with Barca Atletic, scored the opener in a 2-0 win for the Catalans.

The German youngster, wearing the No. 10, pounced on a loose ball in the box and hammered a confident finish home to open the scoring after 15 minutes.

It was a good moment for the 17-year-old who is widely considered to be one of the top talents to emerge from German football recently. Barcelona snapped him up in the summer despite rumors he was also wanted by Man City, Arsenal and PSG.

Barcelona went on to score again with Juan Hernandez getting the team’s second of the afternoon to make it three wins from three for the Under-19s in this season’s UEFA Youth League tournament.
