Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has issued an injury update ahead of Saturday’s match with Rayo Vallecano.
Ter Stegen is struggling with a back injury, that forced him out of action with Germany over the international break, and admits it’s still something of an issue.
“I have to see how I evolve each day after the injury,” he said.
“I am in contact with the doctors to see the steps to follow, we will see tomorrow how I am and we will decide based on this.”

If Ter Stegen were to miss out it would be a big blow for Barca. The goalkeeper has been in fine form this season, and Barca’s defense has had a tendency to leak goals.
Xavil will turn to Inaki Pena if Ter Stegen doesn’t make it. The youngster is yet to make a single appearance for Barca this season but could feature now on Saturday.
