Barcelona midfielder Pedri has been talking about Porto ahead of the crunch Champions League clash between the two sides on Tuesday.
Xavi’s side host Porto after losing to Shakhtar last time out in the tournament. The result means both sides head into the game level on points at the top of the table.
Barca beat Porto 1-0 in the reverse fixture and Pedri wants a similar result when they meet again.
“It’s a tough game, in the Champions League teams are always difficult. We have to win no matter what to make sure we go through to the next round. Our opponents are tough ones, it’s difficult but think we’ll be able to pull it off,” he told the club’s media.
“We have the advantage of our fans at Montjuic. I think we are feeling a lot more comfortable there, as we were at the Camp Nou.”
Pedri also spoke about having to cope without Gavi in the starting XI following his season-ending injury.
“The team misses him for a lot of things, a lot of grit, a lot of strength, a lot of love for the badge that we have to make up for by coming together and being stronger than ever,” he added.
Porto warmed up for the game with a 4-0 cup victory over Montalegre.
