FC Barcelona through to the last 16 of the Champions League - FC Barcelona
One of the main objectives of the season has been accomplished; Barça are through to the last 16 of the Champions League thanks to their 2-1 win over Porto at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. The blaugranes will take their place in the draw for the knock out stages which will take place on Monday 18 December.

Xavi hails 'winning mentality' - FC Barcelona
Xavi Hernández can finally look forward to managing his team in the knockout stage of a Champions League after missing out in the last two seasons. "I am very happy for the team and the club" he said after the 2-1 defeat of Porto. "We needed this after two years. We reacted well and displayed a winning mentality on several occasions. Gavi operation successful - FC Barcelona
First team player Gavi had a successful operation on his torn right knee anterior cruciate ligament plus a meniscus suture today. Supervised by the Club's Medical Services, Doctor Joan Carles Monllau performed the intervention at Hospital de Barcelona. His recovery will determine when he is fit to return to the squad.

Some of the pressure was Xavi was lifted by the victory over Porto, and after the match, Deco told Movistar+ (via MD) that his and the club’s upmost confidence is in the manager.
