FC Barcelona see a need to bring in a new winger via the transfer market, and will prioritize that position alongside the search for a new defensive midfielder, per a new report.

After the exit of Ousmane Dembélé last summer, Barcelona signed João Félix on loan. The Portuguese is not a true winger, and it’s expected that he will only remain in Catalonia if the price is right.

Barcelona are looking for an up-and-coming player ready to take the next step, or a well-known figure who is available at a discount.

The Catalans were said to be interested in Bryan Zaragoza, who plays for Granada. But Bayern Munich moved first, and he’s joining them now. Another young name that was mentioned was that of Savinho, the 19-year-old who is part of the City Group. Those young players that are not yet household names are the ones that are being prioritized.

However, another option would include the likes of Jadon Sancho and Leroy Sané. Those are examples of players who at some point were very highly rated but whose careers have gone through some challenges lately. The idea is they could restart their paths by going to Barcelona, just so long as they were not too expensive.
