Barcelona Femeni could be set for a big change, with coach Jonatan Giraldez being tipped to leave the club after turning down a new contract.

Relevo are reporting that Giraldez is on his way out of the club after deciding not to renew his contract at the end of the season.

The coach is expected to receive “astronomical offers” from clubs in the NWSL and could be set to head to the United States.

Giraldez took over from Lluis Cortes in 2021 and has helped to maintain the success of the women’s team at Barcelona.

The coach has won two league titles, the Copa de la Reina and the Champions League. More titles beckon this season with the team still unbeaten in the league and top of the table.

Yet that might be it for Giraldez, with reports claiming he’ll walk away at the end of the current campaign.
