Djurgarden sporting director Bo Andersson has confirmed rumors the club are in touch with Barcelona about a possible move for 17-year-old midfielder Lucas Bergvall.

The teenager bas been in the news recently amid speculation that Manchester United, Inter and Barca are all keen on his services.

Andersson has now revealed that Barcelona have been in touch but says talks haven’t progressed too far yet.

“Yes, I can confirm that we have been in contact and in dialogue with Barcelona,” he said.

“But it’s not a negotiation yet. There was some contact with Barcelona last week but this week we haven’t spoken to them.”

Bergvall is widely regarded as one of the brightest talents in Swedish football and clearly seems to have attracted many admirers already.

The midfielder is one of many young talents thought to be on Barca’s radar right now along with River Plate’s Claudio Echeverri.
