Barcelona have reportedly already made a decision on Xavi’s future at the club and will keep hold of the coach until the end of the season.
Marca are reporting that the club are not thinking about replacing the Barcelona boss and still think he’s the ideal man for the job.
Xavi has come under a bit of scrutiny due to some poor performances and results but his job is not under threat at the moment.
The only way that Xavi could exit this season would be if he walked away from the role, something he has already said he’s not considering.
Although Barca want to keep Xavi for now, there have been thoughts about who could replace the former midfielder in the hotseat.
Barcelona Atletic boss Rafa Marquez is emerging as a clear candidate, particularly if there was an abrupt departure and Xavi walked out before the end of the campaign.
