Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has been asked whether he fears that Barcelona are having doubts about signing Joao Felix permanently.
The Portugal international moved to Barca on a season-long loan in the summer and initial reports suggested the club would look to make the move permanent.
However, recent speculation has suggested that Barca are now cooling on the idea - a question that was put to the Atleti chief.
“Well, you create the doubts, because I believe that neither the club nor anyone who has seen Joao Félix play has any doubts that he is a great player and that he is one of the best in Europe. And I don’t say this because he is one of our players, but because he is pure reality. He will be one of the best. Now he is a guy who is 24 years old, so he still sees everything he can give,” he said.
“We are very clear about it. Joao Félix is a player who is on loan at Barcelona and if the don’t want him, then he will have to return to us. And if he comes back to us, maybe there are other teams that could be interested in him. But what you cannot do is predict the future: there are times when it turns out the way you think and there are times when it is completely different from what you think.”

Felix will need to improve his form if he is to earn a permanent move to Barca in 2024, particularly with Atletico expected to demand a lofty fee for the Portugal international.
