Gavi has posted on social media for the first time since undergoing surgery on an ACL tear that is expected to keep him out of action until next season.

It’s been a tough time for the teenage midfielder but he’s reappeared with a new haircut and a thumbs up for supporters on Instagram.

Gavi’s post also suggests he’s being motivated right now by Eminen’s ‘Not Afraid’’ - an anthem that speaks about overcoming challenge.

“I’m not afraid. I’m not afraid to take a stand. Let everyone come and take my hand. We will walk this path together, to through the storm. In any weather, cold or hot. Just let me know you’re not alone. Shout out, if you feel like you’ve been through the same thing.”

It’s good to see Gavi again and for him to be looking in good spirits. There’s no doubt the injury is a massive blow but let’s hope he can make a full recovery and get back to doing what he does best next season.
