The Catalans like what they have seen

Everton’s Amadou Onana have become the latest midfielder to be linked with Barcelona.

Mundo Deportivo are reporting that the Catalans have been impressed by the 22-year-old’s performances with the Premier League side.

Barcelona are thought to be keen to bring in a new pivot in the summer and it looks like Onana could be added to a growing list of targets.

MD says Barca like Onana’s physical profile, his tackling, passing and aerial ability and how he’s able to cover a lot of ground.

The other attractive thing regarding Onana is that Everton are facing a battle against relegation after being docked 10 points for violating the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules (PSR).

Sean Dyche’s side did climb out of the drop zone with a win over Newcastle this week, but if they were relegated to the Championship it’s likely they could lose some of their top players such as Onana.
