Barcelona have been told that defender Julian Araujo has “adapted perfectly” to life at Las Palmas.
The Mexico international is on a season-long loan with the Liga side and scored his first goal in the Spanish top flight a week ago against Las Palmas.
Las Palmas president Miguel Ángel Ramírez says the defender is doing well at the club and he’s more than happy to have him.
“Our sports management bet a lot on him, because they were convinced that he was going to give the performance he is giving,” he told Culemania.
“It has adapted perfectly and is providing very important performances for us. We are not worried that his good performance will facilitate his return to Barça.
“We like that Barça has opted for us to give it to us. We have a magnificent relationship with Barça, they have so many players that they need to give up or place some. That benefits us, of course.”
Araujo will be hoping to impress enough this season to allow him a shot at the first team when he returns to Barcelona in the summer.
Right-back remains an issue for Barca, with the club hoping to keep hold of Joao Cancelo, although he has played on the left in recent games.
