Barcelona president Joan Laporta has spoken confidently about being able to keep hold of loanees Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix.
The two players have played regularly this season under Xavi and both appear keen to continue past the end of the current campaign.
Laporta says Barca “will be” able to keep hold of both players and says talks are due to start soon with their parent clubs.
“Cancelo and Félix have been playing at a high level since they arrived. The club will be able to keep them for future seasons,” he said.
“We plan to start negotiations for them shortly and we have good relations with both Manchester City and Atletico Madrid.”

Laporta may be confident but Barca won’t necessarily find it easy to strike deals for either player due to their continued financial difficulties.
Atletico are thought to want around €70-80m for Felix, but recent reports have suggested Barca are planning to use a “Griezmann tactic” to try and get the price down.
