FC Barcelona are considering selling two wingers and using a part of the proceeds to get Federico Chiesa, according to a report out of Italy. The two current players they’d be willing to sell are said to be Ousmane Dembélé and Ferran Torres. The team currently has a complicated financial situation and would need to offload players before taking on a big signing.

Chiesa, 25, was considered one of the most important if not the most important player for Juventus and for the Italian national team that won the Euros. However, he suffered a serious ACL injury in 2021 that kept him out for almost a year. In the meantime, Italy missed the FIFA World Cup.

The winger reappeared in November of last year, though he has not understandably not been the same, at least not yet. He has made only a few starts for Juve, and scored one goal this season.

Torres is being linked with Juve, AC Milan, and Atlético Madrid. Meanwhile, the Frenchman is said to be wanted by Newcastle and Liverpool. among other Premier League clubs.

Arsenal and Liverpool are also interested in Chiesa, though everyone is watching with interest to see whether he will return to his best or not. Regardless, it is understood that Juve have no intention of selling, at least not for what they would consider a good price. However, since they have been hit with a points deduction that is in all likelihood keeping them out of the UEFA Champions League, unless they win the UEFA Europa League, many clubs believe they will have to sell their assets at below-market prices.
