Barcelona suffered another injury blow on Thursday as Raphinha was forced off in the first half of their Super Cup clash against Osasuna in the first half.

Raphinha was named in the starting line-up alongside Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres in attack but went off just before half-time.

The Brazilian picked up what looked to be a hamstring injury in a challenge and was swiftly replaced by 16-year-old Lamine Yamal.

Raphinha did receive some treatment briefly on the pitch but was unable to continue and had to go off. He cut a pretty dejected figure as he took his place on the bench.

The Brazilian therefore joins a host of players on the sidelines currently, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Joao Cancelo, Gavi and Inigo Martinez all out of action.

Barcelona did welcome Pedri back from injury ahead of the match. The midfielder was given the medical green light before kick-off but had to settle for a place on the bench.

Xavi’s side will likely offer an update on Raphinha’s injury after game and the Catalans will certainly be hoping it’s not a serious problem that will see him sidelined for a while.
