Barcelona midfielder Pedri has said he doesn’t yet have a date pencilled in when he will return from injury but is hoping to be back soon.

Pedri has been sidelined again with a muscle injury and it’s thought he may end up missing the Spanish Super Cup.

The midfielder has been chatting with Ibai Llanos and isn’t too sure when he will be ready to play again.

“I don’t have a date to return, but it will be soon,” he said.

Pedri then opened up on his injury issues and spoke about the changes he’s made to his lifestyle in a bid to prevent problems recurring.

“My first season was very long. I played 73 games. It may have affected me, but I wanted to take on the world,” he added.

“Everyone says that when you have the first injury it can recur, but I am working physically and mentally so that it does not repeat, I have changed my diet and I have gone to pilates.

“It hurts me when some people say that my lifestyle is the cause of my injuries. I am a person who does not go out, I do not like parties and staying up late at all, and I love training. I just want to play football.”

It’s still not clear yet when Pedri may return. If he does miss the Supercopa then the club will hope he can return to action afterwards with Betis, Villarreal and Osasuna up next at the end of the month.
