Barcelona sporting director Deco has insisted no players will be sold in the January transfer window.
The club are thought to be keen to bring in a midfielder this winter but are struggling to make the numbers work.
One option would be to raise funds by selling players, but Deco says the club are not thinking about letting anyone go.
“No player is going to leave,” he said.
“We need to generate fair play to sign, but we are not going to generate it with player departures. We have a great squad.”
Barcelona are thought to want to bring in Aleix Garcia from Girona, although the Catalans have made it clear they don’t want him to leave.
Garcia has previously said he’d like to play for Barcelona but it would be a surprise, as things stand, to see him swap clubs mid-way through the season, particularly with Girona flying high in La Liga.
