Barcelona have responded to images of a new black away kit for next season that have appeared online in recent days.

Social media has been full of pictures of the black kit with a blaugrana trim but Barcelona say the leaked pictures are not official.

Here’s the statement:

“FC Barcelona wish to refute information that has appeared in the press today about a supposed design for the second kit for the season 2024/25,” said the club.

“The Club denies that it has ordered or approved this design as has erroneously been published on social media, the written media and the internet.”

There have been rumors for a while now that Barcelona will wear black on their travels next season, but it seems the latest leak is a little wide of the mark.

It’s still something of a curious move by Barcelona and comes at a time when there have been reports that club are set to ditch Nike and go with Puma.

Fans will therefore have to wait and see what Barcelona have up their sleeves, although it’s unlikely we’ll have to wait long for more kit leaks.
