Carles Alena scored twice for Barcelona B on Saturday as Francisco Javier García Pimienta’s side maintained their fine recent form with a 3-0 win over Ontinyent.

Rafa Mújica opened the scoring for the visitors after just 10 minutes before Alena secured the victory with a second-half brace.

His first goal came from the penalty spot on 65 minutes, and he followed that up with a sweet volley to seal a fine performance.

Riqui Puig started the game on the bench but emerged in the second half, as did Oriol Busquets who went close with a fine strike from range.

The results means Barcelona B now have four wins and two draws from their last six matches and have hit form after a tough start.

Next up is a visit from Villarreal B next Saturday, although Alena will be hoping he’s done enough to make it into the senior squad for the visit of Sevilla.
