Ansu Fati and Riqui Puig not expected to return for Barcelona B’s playoff final

Barcelona B can secure promotion with victory on Sunday in the playoff final but coach Francisco Javier García Pimienta is not expecting to have Riqui Puig and Ansu Fati available for the game.

Ronald Araujo returned to the Barca B squad this week and featured in Thursday’s win over Badajoz, even scoring a penalty in the shootout.

García Pimienta was asked after the match if he might have more reinforcements but said he does not think Fati and Puig will return to the squad, according to RAC1’s Gerard Romero.

The Barcelona first team have been given the week off after playing their final La Liga game of the season on Sunday at Alaves. They are due to return to training next week ahead of the Champions League clash with Napoli.
